2010 Registration at a Glance On-Line Reqistration Starts Dec 1st. To register a player you must have a user name and password, to create one click on the word “ Register” (your e-mail address), next to “No account yet?” on the left side of this screen. Enter your information on the form that will appear and then click on the “Send Registration” button at the bottom of the page. An E-mail will be sent back, to you with instructions on completing the user registration process. Be sure to check your junk mail if you do not get it right away. Once you are able to log-in as a user, click on the “Players” tab. Please read the instructions on that page before proceeding. Volunteer Registration All little league volunteers (Managers, Coaches, Board of Directors and/or any persons who have access to, or contact with, players or teams) are required by Little League Baseball to annually complete and submit to the local league president, a “Little League Volunteer Application,” prior to the applicant assuming his/her duties. To volunteer, all you have to do is move your curser up to the “VOLUNTEERS TAB” and click. Box 156, Montrose, CA 91021-0156) If you sign up for the league via On-Line Registration or by mail, you must bring the player’s birth certificate and residency verification to one of the League’s Skills Evaluation Sessions. The registration fee includes a basic photo package (one 3 x 5 ½, one photo button, four wallet size and one team photo), a League logo T-shirt, a 2010 league pin, and the 2010 Crescenta Valley Little League program. Players will receive their T-shirt at Skills Evaluations Sessions upon providing birth date and residency verification. The $50 refundable snack bar deposit will be returned to you after you fulfill the mandatory league requirement of working one three-hour shift per child at the Montrose Park snack bar. The snack bar deposit and the Major Softball event fee are not part of the Family Cap. They must be paid for each child being signed up, in addition to any registration fees. The major baseball special event will be a weekend at the San Bernandino field where all the western regional games are played. Starting Friday June 4th and ending Sunday June 6th all major baseball teams will play two games. Players will stay overnight Friday and Saturday at the sight. These games will be part of our regular season. Any player selected to a Tournament Team at the end of the season will be required to pay a $25 tournament team fee. League Eligibility To participate in Crescenta Valley Little League, children must be: · Between the ages of 4 and 15 (born between May 1, 1994 and April 30, 2006 for Baseball and January 1, 1994 and December 31, 2003 for Softball). Training League (ages 5 and 6) is coed baseball. · Reside within CV Little League’s boundaries, which include La Crescenta, Montrose, La Cañada Flintridge and parts of Glendale (zip codes 91011, 91020, 91214 and 91208, **PLEASE NOTE** not all residences in 91208 are within the league’s boundaries). The boundaries for Crescenta Valley Little League are: Western border: Lowell Ave. in La Crescenta Eastern border: La Cañada city limits (roughly Oak Grove Dr. in La Cañada) Northern border: San Gabriel Mountains in La Crescenta and La Cañada Southern border: La Cañada city limits and Los Encinos Avenue and the Verdugo Wash in Glendale (including the neighborhoods of Oakmont Woods, Whiting Woods and Glenwood Oaks) Birth Date Verification Must be a state- or county-certified copy of child’s birth certificate. No photocopies allowed. Passports are acceptable. Residency Verification Two proofs of residency are required. Proofs of residency include driver’s license; voter’s registration; school records; welfare records; federal, state or local (municipal) records; support payment records; homeowner or tenant records; utility bills (power, gas, electricity, water, cable); financial records (loan, credit, investments, etc.); insurance documents; medical records; military records; internet, cable or satellite records; and vehicle records. Records must display parents’ or guardians’ name(s) in association with the address. You will also need to provide emergency medical information (doctor’s name and phone number, insurance and policy number, if any). If you register on-line or by mail, you must bring verification of birth date and residency with you to a Skills Evaluation Session. CV Little League participates in Little League tournament play at the end of the regular season for players League Age 9 and older. Should your child be selected to play on a tournament team, you will need to submit to the league the original or state-certified copy of his or her birth certificate and copies of three proofs of residency. Crescenta Valley Little League will not deny any child the opportunity to play if his or her parents/guardians cannot afford the registration fee.
