One of the most important ways you can help Crescenta Valley Little League each season is by becoming a volunteer umpire with our program.  The success of our umpire program ensures that CVLL games are called fairly and properly so that the best team should ultimately win.

Being an Umpire for Crescenta Valley Little League
Aside from calling ball or strike, safe or out, umpires are responsible for teaching our players good sportsmanship and the rules of the game. Umpires are also called upon to interpret rules and help settle minor disputes that may occur during games.

The goal of CVLL games is to have one home plate umpire and a minimum of one field umpire. As we continue to grow our program in the years ahead, we hope for this to become reality. Before becoming a home plate umpire you may be required to participate in training sessions and seminars.
