Welcome to CVLL!!Crescenta Valley Little League (CVLL) is an all-volunteer, non-profit, organization sanctioned by Little League International for the purpose of providing baseball and softball playing opportunities for both boys and girls, ages 4-18, residing in the communities of La Crescenta, La Cañada-Flintridge, Montrose, and North Glendale. Carl Stotz founded little League Baseball in 1939 in Williamsport, PA, and as millions of children on six continents and scores of countries can attest; baseball, softball and Little League are synonymous. Little League is a heritage to be carried forward proudly by ever increasing waves of those devoted to teaching children how to play and enjoy these great games. Our organization was founded in order to instruct young people not only in the fundamentals of baseball and softball, but good sportsmanship, team work and respect as well -- skills that every child will need later in life. CVLL is chartered within California's District 16, which is a part of Little League's Western Region. FALL DODGER DAYYou asked for it, and you got it! After our Spring CVLL/Dodger Day, many people asked if the league could host another Dodger Day event (preferably for a night game). Well, on Friday, October 1, 2010, the Dodgers will play the Arizona Diamondbacks in the final series of the 2010 season, and CVLL has a block of tickets for the 7:10pm game. This series is also the Dodger's "Fan Appreciation" series and Friday night's festivities include a post-game fireworks display. The league's Dodger Days are a great excuse to see the home team Dodgers and support CVLL at the same time. For those interested in tickets (or more information), please download the order form. You can mail orders, with a check made out to "CVLL", to: Crescenta Valley Little League PO Box 156 Montrose, CA 91021-0156 attn: Dodger Day I look forward to seeing you at our first "Fall CVLL/Dodger Day"!
2010 FALL BALL REGISTRATION OPEN NOTE: Due to Montrose Park being closed until October (and Labor Day weekend) skills evaluations will take place on Sunday, September 12th at Scholl Canyon Ballfields. Please see the Fall Ball page for additional information. Once again, CVLL will sponsor "Fall Ball". Running from September to December, there will be another season of CVLL fun. Boys will play in divisions grouped by age (ages 7-8 in Teeball, 9-10 in "Minors", 11-12 in "Majors", and 13-14 in "Juniors"). If there is enough interest, we can also form teams for other age divisions. For girls interested in softball for the Fall, we are looking at putting together a program of weekend clinics and will have more information shortly. For more information, check out the Fall Ball page, or download our 2010 Fall Ball flyer.
